Common Questions
HB 2237 eliminated the notarization requirement and introduced clear statutory form language. Any waiver for projects beginning January 1, 2022 or later must use the new statutory forms. Projects started before 2022 follow the old rules.
Extremely. In Texas, subcontractors must send a written notice by the 15th of the 3rd month following each month in which they furnish labor or materials, or lose their lien rights. Missing a deadline can permanently forfeit your right to a lien.
